Get to know me
Hey, my name is Karl Haglund
I make photographs of people - mostly high school seniors, musicians, artists. I like working with people who want something a little different.
Photography has always been my way of paying attention to people and the world around me. SÖDER 8 is where I'm putting that into practice: making photographs that are personal, honest, and different.
I'm interested in photographs that feel like the person in them.

12+ years finding good light and interesting people.
Awesome wife who runs marathons + 2 kids - 1 in college, 1 in high school.
I am also a painter and have created art for people like Jason Isbell and Gary Clark Jr.
I play bass and sing in a sludge metal band called Leave The Earth.
...we still haven't left the rehearsal space, but we will this Fall.
