Söder 8 creates senior photographs that feel personal, visually interesting and a little less predictable.
I plan each session around the senior—their personality, clothing, interests and energy—rather than bringing everyone through the same collection of poses. Some photographs feel natural and relaxed. Others become more editorial. Most sessions include both.
Senior pictures in Clear Lake
I usually begin near City Park and work along The Seawall and venture downtown from there.
The lake front near the Lady of the Lake towards City Beach Park offer great opportunities for beautiful "seaside" type photos. There are also numerous cool spots to find by walking down alleyways and around the Clear Lake Art Center.
I know the area, but I don’t follow the same route with every senior. We’ll choose locations based on the person, their clothing and the photographs we want to make.
We can also finish the Clear Lake session in downtown Mason City or in area parks like Clear Lake State Park and the beach or Central Gardens.
A session can stay entirely in Clear Lake or a combination of cities. You don’t need to decide that before contacting me. Location planning is part of the process.

Sports, music, books, art, cars or anything else that is genuinely part of your life can become part of the session without turning every photograph into a theme.
You don’t need modeling experience or a collection of practiced poses. Just bring yourself, some clothing options and anything you would like photographed.
